Families are the primary source of support for older adults and people with disabilities in Idaho.  In recognition and honor of these family caregivers, the Idaho Health Continuum of Care Alliance (IHCCA) is proud to participate in the National Family Caregivers Month<\/a>, which is celebrated every November.  <\/p>\n

In future newsletters we hope to highlight various organizations that support family caregivers in Idaho.  In this newsletter we are happy to provide information about the Alzheimer\u2019s Association.  <\/span><\/div>

<\/div>
Through its statewide network, the Alzheimer\u2019s Association offers a broad range of programs and services, including a 24\/7 Helpline<\/a>, at no cost to families. The Alzheimer\u2019s Association<\/a> 24\/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) is available around the clock, 365 days a year.  Through this free service, specialists and master\u2019s-level clinicians offer confidential support and information to people living with dementia, caregivers, families and the public.<\/span><\/div>

The Greater Idaho Chapter is offering the following events in December of 2023:<\/p>\n

Library At Hillcrest Caregiver Support Group<\/a> – December 1<\/p>\n

Women Caring for Spouses Caregiver Support Group<\/a> – December 5<\/p>\n

Creating Dementia-Friendly Holidays and Celebrations Idaho Falls<\/a> – December 6<\/p>\n

Please provide this information to your patients, family and friends.<\/p>\n
